Istanbul Local Administrative Academy Project Workshop and Closing Meeting were held in Beşiktaş Conrad Bosphorus Hotel on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in support of Istanbul Development Agency’s 2013 Innovative City Istanbul Financial Support Program. The program is coordinated by Mr. UCLG-MEWA President. Mehmet DUMAN, Vice Rector of Yıldız Technical University Prof. Dr. Yücel ŞAHİN and IMM Deputy Secretary General Mr. It started with the opening speeches of Mevlüt Bulut. The main elements emphasized in the opening speeches are; The Istanbul Local Administrations Academy, which is a platform to provide the transfer of knowledge, experience, experience and good practice examples to local governments at international level and to strengthen regional cooperation, was a good undertaking.

Immediately after the opening speeches, each of the good practice examples of institutions that were interested in local governments were put into 45 minute sessions. The first session would be titled “Strategic Practices in Human Resources”; The second was Environment, the third was Lifelong Learning, the fourth was Transportation and the last session was Smart Cities.

At the end of each session, the participant was presented with a plaque and then the program was switched to the closing section. Following the brief presentation; Certificates were presented to local and international representatives of 20 local and foreign students participating in the environmental education carried out within the scope of the project at Yildiz Technical University Continuous Education Application and Research Center between January 25th and 31st.
